The big breweries are not the only ones innovating this year. We’d like to highlight 3 exciting new year-round brews from great local breweries that are available from Beer Capitol now.
First up is Great Lakes Hazecraft. This hazy IPA is smooth-drinking with a blend of Azacca, Lemondrop, and Simcoe hops, which lend it a juicy, tropical aroma. Hazecraft IPA’s label, designed by artist Sam Hadley, features a cloudy, melon-hued retro space scene. This beer is the first year-round beer to be sold exclusively in cans. Hazecraft clocks in at 6.7% ABV and is available starting Aug 31st in 6-packs of 12 and 16 oz cans.
A Little closer to home, Leinenkugel’s has released Drink Wisconsinbly in cans, and is planning to carry it year-round. This Wisconsin craft lager is a smooth, drinkable amber with a crisp, clean finish, brewed in partnership by two friends that call Wisconsin home – Leinenkugel’s Brewing Company, and the Drink Wisconsinbly pub in downtown Milwaukee. This is a beer made in Wisconsin, for Wisconsin, and pairs excellently with all manner of Tailgate fare – which is good in a year where the only part of baseball fans can participate in is the outdoor tailgate and a game of 6’ distance corn-hole. Drink Wisconsinbly is 4.9% ABV and is available now in 12-pack cans.
Last but absolutely not least, Lakefront has made it’s Wisconsinite Weiss beer a year-round offering as well. Made with Wisconsin-grown malted wheat, Wisconsin-grown hops, and Wisconsin-grown barley, with Weiss yeast lending its classic clove and banana notes to a malty-sweet body with fresh-baked bread flavor. Wisconsinite is 5.0% ABV and is available in 4, 6, and 12-pack bottles.
